SloveniaSkills 2027: An Opportunity for Young Talent in Technical Professions
On 8–9 January 2027, the national vocational skills competition SloveniaSkills 2027 will take place at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ljubljana. Technical disciplines will play a prominent role, including CNC milling, mechatronics, and robot systems integration, reflecting the needs of modern industry, automation, and advanced manufacturing processes.
The competition is intended for young people (secondary school students, university students, or employees) up to 24 years of age who wish to test their skills in real-world work challenges, gain new experience, and connect with professionals, schools, and companies. The most successful competitors will also have the opportunity to represent Slovenia at the European EuroSkills 2027 competition in September 2027.
Applications are open until 30 September 2026 via the website worldskills.si. The competition is organized by WorldSkills Slovenia, which operates within the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training.
