Hoffmann Group sets new standards in ISO turning with GARANT indexable inserts

The HB70 grade family has been developed for efficient machining of all common steel materials and has been further optimised in its second generation for a wide range of cutting conditions.

Hoffmann Group introduces three new high-performance grades: GARANT HB7010-2, HB7020-2 and HB7035-2, which build on the existing HB70 series with an improved combination of wear resistance, cutting edge sharpness and toughness.

The foundation of performance lies in a fine-grained carbide substrate combined with a robust CVD coating (TiCN + Al₂O₃) and a special bonding layer. The result is high hardness, excellent wear resistance and reliable performance even under demanding conditions. An additional surface post-treatment reduces residual stresses in the coating and prevents crack initiation and propagation.

Three specialised grades cover key applications:

HB7010-2: for high cutting speeds and continuous cutting

HB7020-2: a universal solution for continuous and slightly interrupted cutting

HB7035-2: for low cutting speeds and heavily interrupted cutting

More powerful. More efficient. More precise.

The GARANT HB70 series enables higher productivity and process reliability in steel turning – without compromising on quality.
