Kovit Projekti invests in new large-scale CNC machining technology

Kovit Projekti from Trbovlje has strengthened its production capabilities with a new FULLTONTECH MC800 CNC vertical turning and milling center, one of the larger machines of its kind in Slovenia. The investment represents an important step in the further development of the company, particularly in the production of demanding components for the hydropower sector.

The MC800 is designed for machining exceptionally large and heavy workpieces. Its turning capacity reaches up to 7.200 mm in diameter, it can accommodate workpieces up to 4.000 mm in height, the Y-axis working range reaches 8,000 mm, and the machine is capable of processing welded structures weighing up to 100 tonnes.

For many years, Kovit Projekti has focused on the production of large and complex welded structures, where precision mechanical machining plays a crucial role. With this new investment, the company will be able to carry out a larger share of these processes in-house, combining its extensive welding expertise with advanced large-scale CNC machining capabilities.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the hydropower sector, where large and heavy machine components are an essential part of numerous projects. The investment represents an upgrade to the company’s production process, increasing the added value of its products and strengthening its competitiveness while creating new opportunities for business growth.

The new technology also opens up opportunities for the employment of CNC operators, programmers, and other highly skilled professionals.

By combining state-of-the-art CNC technology with many years of experience, Kovit Projekti aims to further strengthen its position as a reliable partner for demanding industrial projects in Slovenia and international markets.
