The TUNG-TRI line is designed for shoulder milling with high material removal rates and stable machining performance. The system is based on triangular indexable inserts with multiple cutting edges, ensuring optimal utilization and a low cost per edge. The positive rake geometry and helical cutting edge reduce cutting forces and vibration, providing stable machining even with longer tool overhangs.
The system is suitable for machining steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and aluminum or other non-ferrous alloys. DLC-coated inserts are also available, reducing built-up edge formation, improving surface finish, and extending tool life.
