Public Hydrogen Refuelling Station for Hydrogen-Powered Vehicles in Ljubljana

In Ljubljana, at the P+R Stanežiče location, a publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling station for hydrogen-powered vehicles has been commissioned. The facility represents an important step in the development of sustainable mobility and the deployment of alternative energy sources in the transport sector.

The station has a daily capacity of up to 750 kilograms of hydrogen. This capacity enables the refuelling of approximately 25 buses or up to 150 passenger cars per day, making the infrastructure suitable for both public transport fleets and private users.

The total investment, including construction works and the establishment of the required infrastructure, amounts to approximately EUR 4.5 million.

Current manufacturers of hydrogen-powered passenger vehicles include BMW, Toyota, and Hyundai, which already offer fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) models and thereby support the expansion of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
