Hefaiston at Helfštýn Castle 2025
The 43rd international blacksmith meeting Hefaiston will traditionally be hosted by Helfštýn Castle at the end of August. Blacksmiths will work in the open air at ten workplaces. Many of their works will then remain at the castle or will decorate the town of Lipník nad Bečvou itself, near which the castle is located.
The international meeting of artistic blacksmiths Hefaiston will traditionally take place at Helfštýn Castle. This year too, you can admire products divided into various categories – classical and artistic blacksmithing, jewelry, weapons and metalworking. Watching the work of artistic blacksmiths is certainly the biggest attraction, but artifacts ranging from purely practical products to completely abstract shapes in various parts of the castle are also worth seeing.
What can you look forward to during the largest blacksmith festival in Europe?
In addition to top-notch craftsmanship, hundreds of exhibits and live artistic creation, a rich accompanying program awaits you. The meeting traditionally takes place on the last weekend of August at Helfštýn Castle, which literally transforms into a Mecca of blacksmithing for several days. Master blacksmiths from all over the world traditionally arrive at Helfštýn, and visitors have a unique opportunity to admire their skill at work. And at the castle and in the town, you can also admire works from previous years. Open forges, ringing anvils and omnipresent smoke - all this will leave visitors with a deep impression and amazement at what can be made from iron. A rich accompanying program is also prepared.
