The 6th International Conference on Materials Design and Applications (MDA 2026) will be held in Porto, Portugal, on 2–3 July 2026. The event will take place on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), which provides outstanding facilities to support high-quality scientific exchange. FEUP is situated in the city of Porto, in the northern region of Portugal.

The conference will focus on both fundamental research and practical applications in the design and use of engineering materials—particularly in areas related to mechanical engineering, including automotive, railway, marine, aerospace, biomedical, pressure vessel, and turbine technologies. Topics will span a wide range of materials and technologies, covering lightweight metals, polymers, composites, ceramics, and related advanced materials.
