H2-DRY and H2-PURE: Advanced Hydrogen Drying and Purification Solutions

During hydrogen production by electrolysis or other processes, moisture and residual oxygen often remain in the gas stream. Efficient purification is therefore essential for safe operation, equipment protection, and stable system performance. High purity requirements are especially important in fuel cell applications.

OMEGA AIR has developed the H2-DRY and H2-PURE systems for continuous drying and purification of compressed hydrogen. The solutions enable hydrogen purity levels above 99.999% and comply with ISO 14687 requirements for sensitive hydrogen applications.

H2-DRY ensures efficient moisture removal and stable pressure dew point control, while H2-PURE additionally removes oxygen and solid particles. The purification process combines adsorption drying with the conversion of residual oxygen into water, which is then removed from the system.

The systems operate fully automatically and can be designed as closed-loop solutions with no hydrogen losses. They are engineered for stable operation even under varying inlet conditions and can be integrated into hydrogen refueling stations, electrolyzer systems, and other energy applications.

In addition to standalone units, OMEGA AIR also offers the containerized H2 BOX solution. All systems can be customized according to project requirements regarding pressure, temperature, dew point, and communication standards.
